Achieve Villa Supported Living is a specialist accommodation provision with a mission to provide outstanding support that improves the lives of each person with special needs and disabilities. Our goal is to ensure that we foster environments where each person can be best served. We have the right provisions and support in place for mild, medium, complex challenging and mental health needs for 16+.
At Achieve Villa, we believe that each person needs a caring and empowering environment where they feel comfortable. Here, we strive to address the four areas of needs:
1. Communication and Interaction
We specialize in supporting the young person who find communication difficult and have challenges understanding language, like autism spectrum disorder. Our interventions are aimed at improving effective communication skills and enriching social interactions.
2. Cognition and Learning
We have targeted interventions that promote important literacy & numeracy skills development among persons having Specific Learning Disorders such as dyslexia or dyscalculia.
3. Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Difficulties
We offer extensive assistance for people with emotional problems or mental health difficulties like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Using individual strategies to improve emotional well-being together with mental health is essential part of our approach.
4. Sensory and Physical Needs
We have the means to cater to the needs of diverse clients ranging from those with sensory impairments, acquired brain injuries and physical disabilities such as Vision and Hearing Impairments and Sensory Processing Disorders.
A Home Away from Home
We offer accommodation that gives the experience of living in a home away from home. Every room is uniquely designed to reflect the preferences of each service user, providing ambience within comforting and familiar surroundings. We have spacious premises that are fully furnished and well equipped with state-of-the-art amenities to ensure that our service users experience comfort at their convenience.
Qualify and experience staff
Living with a learning disability is challenging to both the person concerned and the people around them. We appreciate this fact by ensuring that our staff are qualified and have adequate experience of working with people with special needs. Our staff are chosen based on their ability to empathize, be patience and have good communication abilities.
Support Plans
At Achieve Villa, we value diversity, we customize support plans for every young person based on their personal needs, preferences, and goals. Additionally, we have developed several strategies towards overcoming the challenges that hinder them from achieving their life aspiration. Our unique approach ensures that every person has access to every form of assistance necessary to achieve success.
Independent Living Skills
We are committed towards ensuring our service user achieve self-reliance. Our training program covers different aspects of independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, travel training and personal hygiene skills, among others. These life skills instill confidence and promote a sense of self-dependence for our service users.
Educational and employment support
We help our service users enroll into SEND colleges and get them ready for internships or job placements. Thanks to our already established network link to local colleges and employers, each person can now access meaningful education and career development opportunities.
Engaging Activities
Our service users engage in a variety of activities that help them stay entertained, such as disco night, movie night, table tennis, puzzles, art and craft sessions . Our close tie with the local community gives us exclusive access to activities that contribute to individuals' mental and physical wellbeing.
Therapeutic Interventions
We provide therapies that are tailored to meet both sensory and emotional needs of service users. These include sensory diet through Occupational therapy (OT) sessions, Sensory Gardening, Music therapy, Lego therapy and Art therapy. These therapeutic interventions aid in sensory regulation while promoting general wellbeing.
Monthly Review Meetings
In addition to our services, parental involvements have greatly contributed to our continued success. We hold monthly review meetings with parents, social workers and all other stakeholders who monitor and support the young person’s aspirations and progress. These meetings are crucial as they ensure there is a consistent support system that takes the young person’s needs into consideration.
